How did we convert ALL those colors?

With the help of our teachers.  Over 235 colors were converted in this first round.  Each teacher took a large color swatch of the Americana colors.  They then sat down to match the color using the Heritage Limited Palette.  The colors were compared with each other side by side, by the team.  The mixing formula used, was then recorded.

The colors were then scan and compiled into the conversions.

We would like to thank;

Bobbie Koelsch, Paul Seymour, Georgia Dawbon, Frieda Krugel, Brenda Hozjan, Elaine Cendali, Jessica Jansen, and David Jansen for all the work on this conversion.

As  Americana continues to expand the colors, we will keep this list up to date.  Some colors have been discontinued and are no longer available.  We are attempting to locate some of those colors and make the mixes for you.

Please click the links below to download a PDF file you can print with the conversions.  You can download it by Americana product number, or by Americana name.

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your interest in our seminars. Each year we offer a number of topics; Furniture, Traditional Rosemaling, Floral Studies, Collectible Santas and Designing for Teachers. There  is so much to chose from!

Our studio is in Elizabethtown, home of Dove chocolates and M&Ms. We are also only minutes away from Hershey's Chocolate World, Lancaster's Amish tourism, lots of golfing and several shopping outlets. Lots to see and do when you come to seminar.

The seminars are held in our home. David has designed a spacious seminar room with large TV monitors, balanced lighting and plenty of room for all to paint and study. Our dog, Kaiser will greet you at the door and sleep at your feet. The cats, well, they are cats. They might stop in to say hello but they never promise anything. Seminar fees vary based on the length of each seminar. There is a non refundable/ non transferable deposit due at sign up.

The balance is due before the start of the seminar. Most surface fees under $100. We  provide the instructions, study photos and class paint. You will need to bring your basic painting supplies; brushes, palette, tracing paper or clear acetate.  We offer a light breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. If that isn't enough, there are several restaurants in the area. And our supermarket has a great deli and salad bar. Lodging is easy. There are several hotels and B&Bs in the area that are only minutes away from our home.

We also offer a selection of art supplies along with our dvds and books and packets. We have Heritage MultiMedia paint and mediums, Global Art Supply Brushes and Global Palettes. We also have a variety of wood surfaces. Most of our wood surfaces come from our local woodman, Dave P. He and David work together to design unique surfaces that will make seminars extra special. Dave P has been known to cut something special when asked. This year, someone made a request for door crowns. Beautiful 24 inch door crowns were produced for those who wanted to paint more during the furniture class. Dave P is very handy.

Sincerely,

David, Martha, Jessica and Dave P.
