DVD 4006 The Art of Marquetry

Join David as we shown how to make different types of wood grain and put them into beautiful designs for furniture and occasional pieces. The 9 disc DVD video series is almost 20 hours long and features the history of marquetry, painted marquetry, designing, creating different woods and faux effects.

Disk 1 and 2 start with creating various woods and design with the wood from an historical and modern perspective. From there David will show designing and applying marquetry to a wonderful new woodpiece for our studio, such as;

 a full size grandfathers clock,

large tilt-top table,

occasional table,

and a new beautiful chess game table.

Smaller starter design will also be included for the beginner. Also included in this series is a special instructions, pattern and designs for the large writing desk featured in the upcoming series of Paintworks Magazine.
